1. Who we are
Fools Gold Booking ("we", "us") provides a booking platform for barbershops and salons. This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, and your choices.
2. Data we collect
Shop owners and staff: name, email address, password (hashed), shop name, phone, business settings, billing information if you subscribe.
Clients of shops: the name, email, phone, appointment history, and any notes a Shop adds about its clients. This information is collected and controlled by the Shop, not by us — we store it on their behalf.
Usage data: basic logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, error reports) used to keep the service running and to fix bugs.
3. How we use data
- To run the booking platform and deliver the features you use.
- To send transactional messages (confirmations, reminders, password resets).
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to enforce our Terms.
- To communicate with Shop owners about service updates.
We do not sell your data. We do not sell or share clients' personal data with third parties for advertising.
4. Sub-processors
We rely on a small set of trusted vendors to operate the service — including cloud hosting, email delivery, and analytics. These vendors process data on our behalf under contract and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights:
- Shop owners: you can update most data in your account settings, or email us to request export or deletion.
- Clients of a Shop: please contact the Shop directly — they control your data and we will support their request to update or remove it.
Requests can be sent to privacy@foolsgoldbooking.com. We respond within 30 days.
6. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after termination so you can export or restore. Backups are retained for a limited time and then deleted.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit, encrypted backups, role-based access controls, and tenant isolation. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and report any concerns to us immediately.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
